M.C. Beauty

About

At M.C. Beauty Salon + Spa, I’ve grown from Front Desk & Social Media Coordinator to Marketing & Brand Strategy Lead / General Manager, expanding my role to lead brand strategy, customer acquisition, and business growth.

My work spans social media, Google Business Profile, website management, email and SMS marketing, online booking, customer reviews, and in-salon events. I focus on connecting these touch points to attract new clients, simplify the booking journey, and create a consistent brand experience that reflects the salon’s personality and customer service.

The Strategy

Attract locally. Create a consistent brand experience.

Rather than treating each marketing channel as a separate task, I focus on how every touchpoint works together to help potential clients discover the salon, feel connected to the brand, and confidently book an appointment.

Get Discovered

Build local awareness through engaging social content, Google Business Profile, website content, and promotional campaigns that showcase the salon’s services and personality.

Make Booking Easy

Improve the path from discovery to appointment by keeping service information accessible, maintaining the website and online presence, and identifying friction in the booking journey.

Build Relationships

Use email and SMS communication, retention-focused promotions, review requests, and in-salon events to strengthen relationships beyond the initial appointment.

Measure & Improve

Use available engagement and booking behavior to refine content, promotions, and customer touch points. Connect marketing decisions with broader business priorities, including pricing, retention, and customer experience.

Expanded the team and developed hiring, onboarding, training, and service systems to support the salon’s growth.

Sustainable Client Acquisition & Retention

In the beauty industry, ongoing client outreach is essential. Even when appointment books are full. My strategy focuses on creating an experience that encourages clients to stay with the salon, even if they need to try a new stylist, while continually attracting new clients to offset natural turnover.

The goal isn’t to just fill the books, but to sustain demand and support long-term growth.

What the Results Demonstrate

My work at M.C. Beauty goes beyond social media, connecting brand strategy, local visibility, customer acquisition, and the overall client experience to support business growth.

I use our marketing channels not only to attract new clients, but also to showcase the salon’s culture, build our reputation, and attract potential team members. Growing revenue from $375K to $670K and scaling the team from 4 to 15 demonstrate my ability to align creative marketing with business goals and support sustainable growth.

My Role

My responsibilities span the full marketing and customer experience ecosystem, alongside leadership and operational responsibilities.

  • Lead brand strategy and identity across social media, Google Business Profile, website, email, SMS, print, and in-salon materials to maintain a recognizable, consistent brand.

  • Develop engaging, locally relevant content and promotions designed to capture attention, showcase services, attract potential clients, and support acquisition goals.

  • Evaluate the journey from first discovery through booking, communication, review submission, and return visits. Identify opportunities to reduce friction and make each step clearer and easier.

  • Support email and SMS marketing, client communications, retention initiatives, and review processes that strengthen the relationship between the salon and its clients.

  • Plan and execute four annual customer-facing events that bring the brand to life in person, strengthen community connections, and create additional opportunities for engagement.

  • Work across marketing, pricing, retention, and customer experience initiatives. Launched a wedding services vertical, including service structure, contract framework, and customer journey development.

Final Thoughts

At M.C. Beauty, my work brings together creative content, local visibility, digital platforms, conversion-focused customer journeys, and in-person experiences. My goal is to help the right people discover the salon, make it easy for them to book, and deliver a consistent brand experience that encourages them to return.
